You want to build your own web site? Go for it! You'll either need to know or learn HTML, get yourself a reasonable HTML editor, and invest the time and effort involved in building a page or site, or go to your local software vendor and purchase one of the web page design packages available, and learn to use it. If you go the package route, you'll very likely end up wanting or needing to get involved in HTML anyway. I know-- that's how I got involved in this in the first place! Either way, we'll be glad to host your page when you are finished- if you're happy with it.

A couple of cautionary observations, however, if I may. The web page design packages do what they do well. They provide an HTML document format, usually in a variety of layouts and styles, and the user fills in the text, etc. Their failing is that they cannot be readily amended, altered, or customized to fit individual preferences and requirements-- not unless the user is prepared to alter their HTML structure, language, etc. Further, most folks don't have the necessary software, hardware, or expertise to create logos, manipulate photos, or handle other types of information that people frequently want to include on a website. And it is not cost-effective for any one person to acquire all these goodies just for the purpose of creating a single web page or site.

Even further, many folks don't see the efficiency of purchasing and learning to use yet another software package, just for the sake of developing one web site- much less learning and using HTML to boot!
